Browse thru our offers and start building the itinerary. For Cuba, these trips have been tailored to be fully compliant with US OFAC and BIS regulations for SCP – Support for the Cuban People travel, but you will need to ensure a full time schedule of compliant tours.
With our help, you have the possibility to book independent travel, consisting of several modules and elements that you can combine for your clients’ individual itinerary.
In Cuba the traveler must provide support for the Cuban people to travel under this general license, promote independent activity intended to strengthen civil society and engage in compliant activities over enough hours to fulfill a full-time schedule (average 40 hours per week or 6-8 hours per (week)day) to have meaningful interactions.

To adhere to these new policies travelling independently under this category the traveler needs to:

  • Declare this category when booking flights and lodgings as well as during re-entry into the US.
  • Travel with a full time itinerary containing activities that meet the requirements for this category, e.g.:
  • Stay at casas particulars
  • Eat at local restaurants
  • Support and engage with local businesses and independent entrepreneurs such as artists, musicians, food vendors, filmmakers, etc.
  • Keep this documentation, including receipts and detailed logs of travel and interactions for 5 years after return to the US.
  • Not have direct financial transactions with entities on the Cuba Restricted List
  • Staying in (beautiful) private houses and eating at privately owned restaurants is recommended.

To read more about what is required by the category, take a look at the legal text: Support for the Cuban People category, with examples.

What your clients will get:

  • A fully documented and guided tour with a scheduled itinerary of activities with the group, fulfilling all government requirements.
  • High-end accommodations in our best B&Bs, hotels and resorts.
  • Comfortable ground transportation and delicious, typical meals.

They will avoid spending money at government-run businesses. Instead, have meals at locally owned restaurants (paladares) and do their shopping in local markets, meet and interact with local artists, tobacco manufacturers and people who own their own business, explore independent museums, independent markets, take Dance classes (popular and folkloric dances) if so inclined.
